Connect Meta

klaxify connects through Meta for Business so access remains attached to the business rather than an individual employee.

Before connecting, confirm that:

  • You can administer the store's Meta business portfolio.
  • The Facebook Page is assigned to that portfolio.
  • Instagram is a professional account and is linked to the Facebook Page.
  • Your Meta account has full control of the Page and Instagram account.

If the business does not have a portfolio yet, create or open one in Meta Business Suite. You do not need to create a Meta developer app; klaxify provides and maintains the approved connection.

Then open Settings → Connections, find Meta, and choose Continue with Meta. Sign in with the Meta account that administers the portfolio, select the correct business, and approve the Facebook Page and linked Instagram professional account. Return to Connections and confirm that both account counts are shown.

If klaxify later adds a reviewed permission, use Update Meta permissions without disconnecting the existing account.

If your Page or Instagram account is missing

Open Meta Business Suite and check Settings → Business assets. Make sure the Page is owned by or shared with the selected portfolio and that your account has full control. For Instagram, confirm that the account is professional—not personal—and linked to the same Facebook Page.

If Meta shows the wrong business during authorization, cancel the connection, switch to the correct portfolio in Meta Business Suite, and start again from klaxify. Do not connect a personal Page or an unrelated client portfolio.

If the connection succeeds but an account count is zero, use Update Meta permissions after correcting the asset assignment. This safely refreshes access without mixing data between workspaces.

What arrives in the inbox

Facebook Page messages, Facebook post comments, Instagram professional-account messages, and Instagram media comments become normal inbox conversations. The Facebook or Instagram logo identifies the channel. Comments remain separate from private messages so a public response is not accidentally sent as a direct message.

Reply and organize

Reply from the normal composer. klaxify sends the response back to the original private thread or comment. Add customer tags from the customer panel or bulk inbox tools; these tags are tenant-private and can be used by views, automations, and klax IQ.

Meta delivery is deduplicated and tenant-scoped by the connected Page or Instagram account ID. If delivery fails, klaxify keeps the reply unsent and shows the provider error instead of pretending it was delivered.
