Open Workspace Tools → IQ Setup to build the private intelligence foundation for your organization. New workspace owners enter this flow immediately after account creation. You can choose Save & finish later at any time.

What the guided setup collects

The interview asks about your business model, support volume, customers, markets, languages, products, service promises, and the outcomes you want to improve first. It then guides you through:

  1. Shopify import.
  2. Shopify policy confirmation.
  3. Product confirmation.
  4. Public website discovery and confirmation.
  5. AI employee voice, empathy, identity, and escalation behavior.
  6. Shopify action approvals and automatic-action limits.
  7. A tenant-private accuracy baseline built from de-identified historical requests.

These settings feed the existing Core IQ, Workspace IQ, response compiler, action policy, and supervised-autonomy controls. They do not create a separate AI system.

Import Shopify knowledge

Connect Shopify before opening the store-import step. klaxify synchronizes products, customers, orders, and fulfillment context. It also requests the store policies available through Shopify. Each resource group imports in separate, resumable pages. If Shopify calculates that a page would exceed its query-cost limit, klaxify automatically retries the same page with a smaller batch. Completed resource groups remain saved, so retrying does not restart the entire interview.

Policy text and product descriptions enter klaxify as drafts. Review the text and select only accurate items. A Shopify policy is not published to Workspace IQ and a catalog description is not approved as product evidence until a workspace manager confirms it.

Importing does not send a customer message or execute a Shopify action.

Discover missing website knowledge

Enter the public storefront or help-center URL. The crawler can inspect up to 12 public pages for FAQs, guides, warranty details, care instructions, policies, and other support content that may not exist in Shopify.

The crawl:

  • Respects robots.txt.
  • Uses only public HTTP or HTTPS pages on the selected domain.
  • Rejects private network addresses, account areas supplied through credentials, and unsupported file types.
  • Creates unpublished drafts.
  • Requires manager review before a page becomes usable knowledge.

Choose Support pages only to prioritize FAQ, help, shipping, returns, refunds, terms, policy, and warranty URLs. Choose Full public site when useful product education or guides may live elsewhere.

Keep identity separate from learned behavior

The voice step sets the responding employee's public name, role, tone, empathy level, emoji preference, operating instructions, escalation wording, and knowledge boundaries.

Learned answers do not memorize a person named in an earlier reply. They retain {{customer.first_name}} and {{agent.name}} placeholders. At send time, klaxify applies the current customer's name and the human or AI employee who actually sends the response.

Set safe action boundaries

For each supported Shopify action, choose:

  • Human approval — klax IQ can prepare the work, but a manager decides.
  • Automatic within limits — an eligible action can run automatically only after live state, permission, policy, confidence, and amount-limit checks pass.
  • Disabled — the workspace does not allow the action.

Automatic sending and automatic commerce actions are separate. Response skills begin supervised and graduate individually only after their configured review, acceptance, alignment, and confidence thresholds are met.

Create the accuracy baseline

The final setup step samples recent customer requests from the current workspace. Names, emails, long numeric identifiers, and order numbers are masked before the examples are stored. klaxify records intent coverage and baseline confidence, but every expected result remains marked for merchant review.

If no history is available, setup can still finish after an empty baseline is created. Supervised inbox decisions will supply future evaluation examples.

Workspace IQ data is organization-scoped. Imported policies, products, website pages, historical examples, identities, and action rules are not shared with another tenant.
